How to use COMPALOX P buffer ???

If the aim is to use the low P method for growth regulation and/or to improve the keeping quality, the following instructions should be followed:
  • Mix a COMPALOX® P buffer desorbing low P into the growth substrate. If a full-fertilized peat is used it should be modified so that the COMPALOX® P buffer is the only source of P fertilizer in the growth medium. If the production time is relatively short it may be sufficient to mix only 1% (volume) COMPALOX® P buffer into the growth substrate, whereas 2% is recommended for species with a longer production time.

  • The standard nutrient recipe should be changed and no P needs to be added with the fertilization if the production time is relatively short or when used in the production of plant species with a naturally low P requirement. To avoid the COMPALOX® P buffer being depleted before the end of the production of species with a long production time we recommend the growers to maintain the COMPALOX® P buffer by adding 50-80 µM P depending on species with the irrigation water.
